Welcome to Pepperhill Elementary School!

Pepperhill is a North Charleston neighborhood school that serves a diverse population of 650 students from child development through the 5th grade, with 69% of the population African-American, 17% Hispanic and 9% White. We support student academic needs through the Personalized Learning model with 1-to-1 iPad use. We pride ourselves on a positive and nurturing climate following the PBIS framework for emotional and behavioral support.  We use a multi-tiered approach toward meeting student needs both academically and socially.   Instructional opportunities include enrichment classes, Gifted and Talented Specialized Instruction (SAIL), Student Government, Martial Arts, Reading and Math Intervention, Fine Arts, Strings, Physical Education, Media and Guidance, the 21st Century Learning Grant, Reading Partners, and Lunch Buddies.  We have many community and business partnerships and family volunteers that strengthen the climate and programming in our school to make us "PAWsome Panthers!"

Our Vision is to create an environment that is safe, organized, academically challenging and conducive to meeting the demands of the 21st Century Learners.

Our Mission at Pepperhill Elementary School is to create an engaging and positive learning environment with the collaboration and support of students, teachers, parents, and the community to  prepare every student for the 21st Century through personalized instruction.

We are looking forward to fostering growth in all of our students during the 2016-2017 school year. Our school is continuing our journey with Personalized Learning and our focus is to support your child where they are in their learning. Please take time to talk to your child about their learning path and academic and behavior goals. Your involvement in our school is vital to our success. We want you to get connected and be a part of Pepperhill! If you are interested in volunteering please contact your child’s teacher or the front office and let us know.

Sincerely,

Tanya Underwood
