Positive Behavior Interventions &  Supports

 School  discipline policies have historically been directed toward controlling specific children with behavior problems. Newer methods, supported consistently by research, rely on systemic approaches to preventing  and responding to school-wide , classroom and individual behavioral problems. As part of this approach, schools define, teach and support appropriate behavior to establish a "culture of competence" within schools.
