Hi! My name is Ms. Heather Kaczenas! I am 27 years young! I will be your child’s 4th grade teacher for the 2015-2016 school year. This will be my 4th year at Pepperhill Elementary School and I am excited to make this the best year yet! I am looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure your children can achieve their highest potential. I plan on challenging your child academically in the areas of reading, writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
My childhood and education
I grew up in Charleston, SC where I attended a local elementary and high school. In December of 2010, I graduated from College of Charleston with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Immediately following graduation I became a 3rd grade teacher at St. Andrews School of Math and Science where I completed my student teaching. The following year I was a 5th grade substitute teacher at Mary Ford and Chicora Elementary . I accepted a job as a fourth grade teacher at Pepperhill in 2012.
I recognize that in order to be successful in school, your children need support from both the home and school. I know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. Please feel free to contact me at any time throughout the school year. The best way to get in touch with me is to write a note in your child's agenda or through email and phone messages. You may also call the school and leave a message and I will call you back as soon as possible.
*** I will use this website to post important dates, reminders, pictures of classroom activities, and descriptions of what your child is learning or what they will be learning in the coming months.****
